He arrived in America in 1966, bringing with him a wealth of spiritual knowledge and a deep commitment to sharing the principles of devotion to God. Over the years, he founded more than 108 centers in the United States and globally, each serving as a hub for spiritual growth and community engagement. In addition to establishing these centers, Srila Prabhupada undertook the monumental task of translating ancient Vedic texts. His efforts resulted in more than 70 translations, making profound spiritual wisdom accessible to a broader audience. His teachings emphasized the importance of devotion, community, and self-realization. Recognizing the need for sustainable living and spiritual practice, he also founded self-sufficient farm communities and ashrams around the world, where followers could live, learn, and practice Bhakti-Yoga together. Under his guidance, many disciples were trained to carry on the Vedantic tradition, ensuring the teachings would thrive and benefit future generations. Srila Prabhupada ended his earthly service in 1977 and entered samadhi in the revered holy land of Vrindavan, India. His legacy endures through the teachings and practices he established, inspiring countless individuals worldwide on their spiritual paths.
